Welcome toĀ PhotoMapperZAĀ ā my slightly obsessive, totally unpaid, and wildly satisfyingĀ passion projectĀ to reachĀ Local Guides Level 10Ā onĀ Google Maps.
Armed with my camera ā and occasionally a shopping bag or a cup of coffee ā I explore and photograph hidden gems and local favoritesĀ (while my wife does the actual shopping). From cosy coffee shops and boutique hotels to scenic spots and hidden gems, I capture the kind of places youād want to stumble upon or bookmark for later.Ā These photos end up on Google Maps, helping others discover cool spots and make smarter choices when they travel, eat, or explore.
So far, Iāve uploaded over 4,600 photos ā yeah, Iāve been busy. With a whopping 198Ā million+ views ā and no, I donāt get paid for this. I do it for the love of photography, the joy of sharing, and that little dopamine hit when someone says, āHey, thank you for uploading such a great photo to our business on Google Maps!ā
